They say that no matter who you are, there will always be someone smarter or more talented than you. It’s a sobering reality, but it’s pretty cool to know that there is always an opportunity to learn and grow.

As entrepreneurs, we are constantly changing and evolving–and, of course, finding ourselves in new territory. Sometimes, we move up the ranks faster than we are prepared to–working with people that are far more seasoned than we are. And it can be intimidating!

We must allow ourselves to be open to these possibilities and comfortable with the fact that, no, we are not the smartest person in the room today. Despite this, we can still make a killer impression that shows what a major asset we are. You don’t have to be the most accomplished person in the room to do this.

Long resumes come with time and are not always the “end all be all.” When it boils down to it, everyone wants to work with solid people who are enjoyable to be around; folks who are thoughtful thinkers and creative problem solvers.
